You can start your own LCF Fun Languages franchise from as little as $2,500 (terms and conditions apply). This is significantly lower than most franchise opportunities in Australia. The exact investment depends on the type of licence or franchise you choose. Contact us for a detailed breakdown of costs and what's included.
No formal teaching qualification is required to become an LCF franchise or licence holder. What you do need is a passion for languages, enthusiasm for working with children, and good organisational skills. We provide full training and all teaching resources, so you don't need to start from scratch. Being a native or fluent speaker of the language you want to teach is a major advantage.
A franchise gives you the rights to operate your own LCF Fun Languages business in a defined territory. You can grow a team, take on multiple schools and venues, and build a substantial business. A licence is ideal if you want to teach yourself without building a larger operation. It gives you access to our resources, curriculum and brand to run classes independently. LCF provides comprehensive initial training covering our teaching methodology, business operations, marketing and administration. After that, you receive ongoing support from our experienced team including regular check-ins, access to updated teaching resources, marketing support and a network of fellow franchisees. You are never on your own.
Absolutely — in fact, most of our franchise and licence holders operate from home. You travel to schools, childcare centres and community venues to deliver classes. There's no need for a shopfront or commercial premises, which keeps your overheads very low.
Many of our franchisees start generating income within their first school term. The timeline depends on how quickly you can establish relationships with local schools and childcare centres. Our team supports you with initial outreach strategies and marketing materials to help you get your first clients as fast as possible.
We have opportunities available across all Australian states and territories. Visit our state pages to see regional information: NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, ACT. Contact us to enquire about availability in your specific area.
To become an LCF accredited teacher you need to be a fluent or native speaker of the language you wish to teach, have a genuine passion for languages and working with children, and hold or be willing to obtain a current Working With Children Check (or equivalent in your state). Prior teaching experience is helpful but not essential — we provide all the training you need.
Most LCF classes run during school terms, typically before school, at lunchtime or after school — generally between 8am and 6pm on weekdays. This makes it ideal for parents who want flexible work that fits around school hours and family life. You choose how many classes you take on.

No — LCF provides all curriculum materials, lesson plans, song books, games and teaching resources. As an accredited LCF teacher working within a franchise, you will have access to our full library of professionally developed materials, so you can focus on delivering great lessons.
An LCF accredited teacher comes to your school at agreed times — before school, lunchtime or after school — and delivers language classes to your students. We supply all materials and resources. Classes run on a term basis and are typically 45–60 minutes in length. We handle all the lesson planning and reporting so your staff don't need to be involved in delivery.
In most cases, language programs are funded by parents who pay a per-term fee directly. This means there is often no cost to the school itself. We are happy to discuss different funding and pricing models depending on your school's situation. Submit a school enquiry and we'll tailor a proposal for you.

Our programs are designed primarily for children aged 3–12 years. We have specially designed curricula for early learners (3–5 years), Foundation to Year 2 (5–8 years), and Years 3–6 (8–12 years). Each program uses age-appropriate games, music and activities matched to the child's developmental stage.
Jazz-Mataz is our preschool music and movement program designed for children aged 2–5 years. It's an ideal option for people who are passionate about working with young children but don't speak a second language. The program uses music, movement and play to develop children's confidence, coordination and love of learning. It can be delivered alongside or separately from our language programs.
No — our programs are designed for complete beginners. Children (and parents) do not need any prior knowledge of the language being taught. Our teachers start from the very basics and use a natural, immersive approach that mirrors the way children learn their first language.
Yes. Our programs are supported by excellent interactive online learning resources, as well as CDs, songbooks and e-books (available for French, Spanish and Mandarin) that children can use at home to reinforce and extend what they've learnt in class.
